FBI Director Kash Patel is under fire for his reported inactivity in his role, with complaints about his frequent absences from the office and nightlife activities. Former FBI Assistant Director for Counterintelligence Frank Figliuzzi made his opinions clear in an MSNBC interview on Friday, asserting that the environment within the bureau has grown ‘chaotic’.

Figliuzzi added, “Apparently, he’s been seen more at nightclubs than he’s been on the seventh floor of the Hoover building. And there’s even a report that daily briefings to him have been shifted from daily to perhaps twice a week. “He also said that Patel has been spending his time commuting between the Hoover Building in Washington DC and his residence in Las Vegas.

Figliuzzi went on to continue, “So it’s a blessing and a curse. Because if he’s actually attempting to do it without his experience, without any amount of experience, things could be terrible. If he’s not plugged in, things could be bad. But he’s letting agents take over so we have no idea where this is headed.” He said that the ‘one word that keeps finding its way back to me from inside is that the building is chaos. People don’t know what’s happening from day to day’.

Amidst these allegations, Senate Democrats have requested a formal probe of Patel’s use of FBI resources, particularly his utilization of the agency’s private aircraft. Reports by CBS News indicate that the US Government Accountability Office (GAO) may soon examine the expense of Patel’s travel, the reasons for his trips, and whether personal travel was taxpayer-funded.
