Billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk, who owns firms such as Tesla and SpaceX, has been in the news recently over shocking details about his private life. Although reports from official sources confirm that Musk has fathered 12 children, recent reports indicate that the tech mogul might have fathered even more children than the world knows.
Musk’s desire to produce a “legion” of children has triggered widespread interest following fresh details emerging, which have highlighted his private attempts to increase his family.
Sperm Donation and Money Offers
Musk has been contacting women, asking them to bear his children, according to a Wall Street Journal report. Perhaps the biggest shocker is from right-wing influencer Ashley St. Clair, who said she bore Musk a son, “Romulus.” St. Clair said Musk paid her a one-time sum of $15 million, plus $100,000 monthly in support, on the condition that she kept their baby son quiet.
Musk reportedly used his go-between, Jared Birchall, to keep the pregnancy under wraps. Nonetheless, St. Clair made public the information, and Musk responded by reducing his financial support.
Paternity Test Validates Musk’s Role
The Wall Street Journal also cited a paternity test that established the baby is indeed Musk’s child. A Labcorp report said the “Probability of Paternity” was 99.9999%. Musk himself had earlier claimed he gave child support “despite not knowing for sure” if Romulus was his biological child.
Practice of Reaching Out to Women by Elon Musk
As per St. Clair, Musk proactively approaches women on X (ex-Twitter) with a distinct ask, for them to carry his children. The Wall Street Journal report indicates that Musk had messaged several women, among them crypto influencer Tiffany Fong, seeking to know whether they were “interested in having his child.”
Fong reportedly turned him down. St. Clair went on to tell that Musk was also approached by Japanese officials who asked him to donate sperm to a prominent Japanese influencer. Musk, blunt as ever, texted St. Clair, “They want me to be a sperm donor. No romance or anything, just sperm.” He went ahead and agreed afterward and sent the sperm, thus granting the wish.
“Legion” of Children and an Interest in Surrogacy
Musk’s ambition to expand his family is closely tied to his obsession with the declining global population—a topic he has raised multiple times in interviews. Musk reportedly refers to his growing number of children as his “legion,” a term that harks back to ancient Roman military units. In a text to St. Clair, Musk clarified: “To have a legion-level before the apocalypse, we will have to use surrogates.” Musk’s constant mention of a “legion” points to his increased enthusiasm for having more offspring.
A Compound for His “Harem”
The Wall Street Journal also revealed Musk’s plans to construct a compound in Austin, Texas, where he planned to have his increasing number of women and children live together. Jared Birchall, Musk’s associate, was reported to have been involved in the purchase of the property for the compound by sources close to the issue. The compound would accommodate Musk’s “harem” of women and growing family. It appears, however, that the majority of the women refused to reside at the compound.
Public Persona of Elon Musk vs. Private Life
Although Musk’s public image is one of a visionary entrepreneur and innovator, these developments about his private life have seen many questioning his behavior and motives. His conduct, such as his request to women to bear his children and his monetary advances to keep this a secret, is at variance with his public support for technological advancement and planetary sustainability.
As Musk’s family expands, questions still arise about his final motivation in extending his family. Whether Elon Musk is driven by altruism to work on global population problems or by ego alone, his actions have raised eyebrows and initiated a fresh debate about his personal life and the public image he continues to build.
