Chilean President Gabriel Boric Font will embark on a state visit to India from March 30 to April 6, 2025, marking the first visit by a Chilean head of state to India in 16 years. The visit aims to strengthen diplomatic and economic relations between the two nations, focusing on trade diversification and investment collaboration. According to an official press release by the Government of Chile, this visit reflects Chile’s commitment to deepening ties with India, the world’s fifth-largest economy.

President Boric will be accompanied by a high-profile delegation comprising government officials, parliamentarians, and business leaders. The delegation will include key ministers such as:

- Technology and Innovation: The President will attend the Innovation Summit in Bangalore on April 4, which will explore collaboration between Chilean and Indian enterprises in emerging industries.

Upon his arrival in New Delhi on April 1, President Boric will hold bilateral meetings with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Droupadi Murmu to discuss enhancing political and economic ties.
Promoting Film Production in Chile
During the Mumbai leg of his visit, President Boric will participate in “Shoot in Chile,” an initiative aimed at promoting Chile as a prime location for international film productions, particularly for Bollywood filmmakers.
