Twenty-two people were confirmed dead, and 80 others injured after Israeli tanks shelled a school in Nuseirat, central Gaza, which was sheltering displaced Palestinians. Meanwhile, over 300 people have been killed as Israel’s military siege of northern Gaza continues for the ninth day. Tens of thousands remain trapped by the ground invasion and drone strikes, with food and water supplies dwindling.
The Wafa news agency reported that Israeli fighter jets bombed tents housing displaced Palestinians within the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir el-Balah, central Gaza. According to medical sources, the attack caused fires, resulting in an unspecified number of deaths and injuries. The hospital’s reception area was filled with wounded individuals and the bodies of those killed.
More information on the attack is expected soon.
