British Minister for the Middle East and North Africa, Hamish Falconer, has called for a full investigation after Israeli gunfire endangered British diplomats near a diplomatic delegation in Jenin, in the occupied West Bank.

In a statement on X, Falconer condemned the incident as “unacceptable” and emphasized the importance of civilian protection and diplomatic safety. “I’ve spoken to our diplomats who were affected,” he said. “Civilians must always be protected, and diplomats permitted to do their job.”

He emphasized accountability, calling on the authorities to probe the incident in depth and bring those responsible to book.”.
