Madame Tussauds Unveils New Wax Figure of Princess Catherine

Madame Tussauds in London revealed a new wax figure of Princess Catherine on Wednesday. The museum created the statue to reflect her role as a future queen. It now stands beside wax figures of Prince William, King Charles III, and Queen Camilla.

Her Royal Look Honors 2023 Diplomatic Event

The figure wears a sparkling pink Jenny Packham gown, silver shoes, and a blue sash from the Royal Victorian Order. These details pay tribute to what Catherine wore at the December 2023 diplomatic reception.

Madame Tussauds explained, “The outfit was styled in homage to the outfit worn to the annual diplomatic reception in December 2023.”

The museum also included an exact replica of the Lover’s Knot tiara, famously worn by Princess Diana in the 1980s. In addition, the wax figure features the Royal Family Order of Elizabeth II and replica Greville Diamond Chandelier earrings.

Crafted with Precision and Purpose

The museum said the team put great effort into making the figure lifelike and regal. Steve Blackburn, senior general manager at Madame Tussauds, praised the craftsmanship: “She has been sculpted to ensure her resemblance is fit for a future queen, alongside her dashing husband.” He added, “She was majestically crafted by our talented studio team.”

New Figure Follows Health Battle

This updated statue comes nearly 14 months after Princess Catherine revealed her cancer diagnosis. In March 2024, she shared that she was undergoing chemotherapy for an unspecified cancer. Her announcement came just weeks after officials confirmed that King Charles III was also fighting cancer. While the king is still receiving treatment, Catherine has said she is now in remission.

Prince William’s Look Gets an Upgrade

The museum also gave Prince William’s figure a fresh update. He now wears a classic black tuxedo from Ede & Ravenscroft, along with a white bow tie. His look includes replicas of the Order of the Garter sash and star, plus military medals.
