A spokesperson for Toblerone’s parent company, Mondelēz, confirmed the move, stating, “While we understand that this may be disappointing for some consumers, we continue to invest in Toblerone.” The company cited “changing tastes” as the main reason behind the “difficult” decision, without confirming whether the discontinuation extends beyond the UK.

Premium brands like Lindor have jumped on the trend, offering a luxury version priced at £10 per bar. Budget-conscious shoppers are turning to Lidl, which has launched a more affordable option at £4.99.
The Cocoa Crunch: Skyrocketing Prices Push Brands to Reconsider
The farewell to Toblerone also coincides with an alarming rise in cocoa prices. According to the Office for National Statistics, chocolate prices in the UK have increased by 13.6% up to March this year. This cost pressure, combined with shifting consumer preferences, has forced many brands to reassess their product lines.
