In a groundbreaking declaration, Union Home Minister Amit Shah affirmed that Kashmiri youths are securing jobs solely on merit, without any influence from political considerations. Shah’s statement came during the virtual inauguration of e-buses in Jammu, underscoring the Modi government’s commitment to transparent and accountable recruitment processes.
Shah’s assertion marks a paradigm shift from historical practices, where political affiliations often played a decisive role in job allocations. “Gone are the days of political favoritism; Kashmiri youths are now securing opportunities solely based on their merit,” declared Shah, emphasizing the government’s dedication to fostering a more equitable and meritocratic employment environment.

Moving forward in his address, Shah praised the efficacy of measures taken by the Modi government in curtailing terrorism financing channels and banning ideological groups supporting terrorism. The Home Minister expressed confidence that the region is now on a trajectory of sustained peace and progress, highlighting the positive impact of these stringent actions.

Encouraging active participation in the democratic process, Shah urged the youth to enroll in the voter list and become an integral part of mainstream India. He extended congratulations to those who received appointment letters during the ceremony, urging them to embrace their new roles with commitment and determination.

In a pointed critique of past regimes, Shah underscored the government’s commitment to transparency and merit-based appointments, eliminating corruption. He lauded Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha’s efforts in addressing unemployment challenges, expressing optimism about overcoming the backlog figure.

Shah also acknowledged eco-friendly initiatives, praising the introduction of e-bus services in Jammu. He revealed a government investment of 561 Crore rupees for the operation and maintenance of these buses over 12 years.
