On Wednesday British government expressed its support for India’s cooperation with Canada’s legal processes in the ongoing diplomatic conflict between the two nations.

As Canada has putting accusations on India linking Indian diplomats to the murder of Sikh leader Hardeep Singh Nijjar, the UK affirmed its confidence in Canada’s judicial system.

The UK stated that engaging with Canadian partners regarding these serious developments is essential. India has denied the allegations and responded by expelling six senior Canadian diplomats, including the acting high commissioner.

With the recent killing of Indian leader Baba Siddique these accusations have grown tremendously.

The British government emphasized that India’s collaboration with Canada’s investigations represents “the right next step” in resolving the diplomatic row.
