Two men are killed in a tragic incident in which a rooftop fell down due to heavy rain in Karnataka’s capital, Bengaluru. The men were labourers from Bihar, and were at an old building close to a Graphite India factory near Mahadevapura’s Hoodi circle to demolish it. Three others have also been reported of getting injured in the incident.The tragedy occurred on Tuesday early morning at around 5:30 am and came into light when fellow workers arrived at the site. The deceased victims have been identified as Zainuddin who was 37 years old and Armaan who was 28 years old.Rescue team officials from the fire department in Mahadevapura division were immediately alerted after which they pulled out the two trapped bodies from under the building roof and rushed the other three injured to a nearby hospital.A case of ‘death due to negligence’ has been registered against the building’s owner in this regard by the police and further investigation is underway. Reports quoted police officials are saying that the two had slept in the ground floor as it was raining heavily, when the roof collapsed on them, crushing them to death in their sleep.
