Amid many twists and turns in Telugu TV actress Kondapally Sravani’s suicide case, the police arrested two persons. Both were booked for abetment to suicide by the Hyderabad police. The SR Nagar police booked Devaraj Reddy, the actor’s boyfriend, and another person Sai Krishna. No arrests have been made in the case yet. The DCP said, “We found three people as accused in the actress’ suicide case. Devaraj Reddy and Sai Krishna Reddy have been arrested and we have found cine producer Ashok Reddy as an accused. Three of them proposed to marry her and later harassed her. We have come to conclusion that due to harassment, she has committed suicide.” Sravani came to Hyderabad in 2012. Sai Krishna Reddy became familiar with her in 2015, and she developed closeness with producer Ashok Reddy in 2017 and in 2019 with Devaraj Reddy, said the police official. “In this case, Ashok Reddy has been absconding now. We are trying to nab him,” he said. There used to be fights among the three for her, added the police offer.
Police came across many audio clips of her conversation with Devaraj Reddy, Sai and Ashok Reddy and her phone calls with her mother too. It was reported that in the audio clip, Sravani asks Satyawathi, Devaraj’s mother, about her marriage with her son, asking for consent from the family. Sravani reportedly said she did not have consent for the marriage from her parents. Sai Krishna Reddy first wanted to marry her and helped her financially. Police recorded the statements of Sravani’s parents. The 26-year-old actress Sravani, who is known for her work in Telugu successful serials like Manasu Mamata and Mounaragam, was found dead in her home at Madhuranagar Apartment on 8 September.
