As part of a global job cut mandated by Twitter’s new owner Elon Musk, the social media platform has begun terminating staff in India. According to a source, Twitter has fired every employee in the marketing division in India. Musk sacked CEO Parag Agrawal and other executives last week after acquiring the business in a $44 billion purchase.

The CEO of Twitter, Parag Agrawal, as well as the CFO and a few other top employees were fired by the world’s richest businessman, Elon Musk, last week to start his tenure there.

The top management left soon after that. Musk has now begun a significant effort to reduce the company’s overall personnel.

The US-based social media platform, in an internal email to employees earlier, had said, “In an effort to place Twitter on a healthy path, we will go through the difficult process of reducing our global workforce on Friday.” It said that “everyone will receive an individual email”.
