After laying off nearly two third workforce of the microblogging company in less than a month since its takeover, Twitter CEO Elon Musk has said the company is done with the layoffs and is all set to hire again. The company is actively recruiting for positions in engineering and sales. The staff of the company has also been told to recommend potential candidates.

However there isn’t any official notification released on the website regarding hiring for positions in engineering and sales for which the company is seeking.

“If we want to move the headquarters to Texas I think it would play into the idea that Twitter has gone from being left-wing to right-wing, which is not the case. This is not a right-wing takeover of Twitter. It is a moderate-wing takeover of Twitter,” Musk told employees. In terms of critical hires, I would say people who are great at writing software are the highest priority,” he further added.

Meanwhile Musk also cleared the speculations that there is no immediate plan to shift the Twitter’s headquarters to Texas. Though he added that it could make sense to be “dual-headquartered” in California and Texas. As the federal taxes are lower in Texas, Tesla recently moved it’s headquarter from Silicon Valley to texas.

Amid the mass layoffs and workforce subsequently quitting twitter, the workforce has been brought down to 2,700 employees from approximately 7500 employees.
