Truecaller, a prominent caller identification app, has achieved a significant milestone with 400 million monthly users. The company continues to expand rapidly across various geographic markets, adding 10.1 million users since March 31 this year.

Alan Mamedi, co-founder and CEO of Truecaller, highlighted the impact of new technology and increased fraud opportunities on this growth. Truecaller is actively enhancing its app’s functionality to protect users during phone calls and SMS.

In a notable partnership, Truecaller has collaborated with Microsoft to leverage ‘Personal Voice’ technology, enabling users to create digital versions of their voices using Azure AI Speech.

During the first quarter of 2024, Truecaller reported an average of 383.4 million active users per month, with the end-of-quarter count reaching 389.9 million.

India remains a key market for Truecaller, witnessing an 8% rise in net sales in Q1, accounting for 74.2% of total net sales. The company’s growth in India spans across Truecaller for Business, Premium subscriptions, and Ads, reinforcing its strong presence and revenue streams in the region.
