The highly-anticipated film ‘Leo,’ featuring Thalapathy Vijay, Trisha Krishna, and Sanjay Dutt, has made a global debut and is already making waves at the box office. With significant pre-release excitement, the film is on track for an impressive performance, particularly in South India.

Directed by Lokesh Kumar, ‘Leo’ is projected to garner a net total of approximately Rs 145 crore worldwide, with strong showings expected in all four southern states. The early estimated box office collections indicate that ‘Leo’ is poised to earn approximately Rs 32 crore in Tamil Nadu, Rs 17 crore in Andhra Pradesh/Telangana, Rs 14 crore in Karnataka, and Rs 12 crore in Kerala. In total, the domestic earnings for ‘Leo’ are expected to surpass Rs 80 crore on its first day, with an additional Rs 65 crore expected from overseas, resulting in a global opening day collection exceeding Rs 145 crore.

Industry tracker Sacnilk reports advance ticket sales of Rs 46.36 crore nett for the film’s first day across the country. Notably, ‘Leo’ is set to achieve the highest opening for a Tamil film this year, surpassing Rajinikanth’s ‘Jailer,’ which grossed Rs 44.5 crore on its release in August. The overall worldwide projection for ‘Leo’ stands at an estimated Rs 145 crore. Leo (also known as ‘Leo: Bloody Sweet’) is a 2023 Indian Tamil-language action thriller film, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and produced by S. S. Lalit Kumar and Jagadish Palanisamy.

The film features Vijay in the lead role, with a star-studded cast including Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Sarja, Trisha, Madonna Sebastian, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Mysskin, Mansoor Ali Khan, and Priya Anand in supporting roles. This movie is the third installment in the Lokesh Cinematic Universe and draws inspiration from the 1997 graphic novel ‘A History of Violence.’
