An incident in Mamallapuram, Tamil Nadu, resulted in the arrest of three tourists after a security guard, 49-year-old Ezhumalai, was physically assaulted for stopping them from parking in a no-parking zone.
Confrontation Turns Violent
Footage of the altercation shows Ezhumalai blocking a group of tourists from parking in a restricted area, sparking a verbal argument. Things escalated quickly when one woman stepped out of the vehicle and began slapping Ezhumalai. Three others—another woman and two men—soon joined in, mercilessly beating him. At one point, they took his stick and used it to hit him. Ezhumalai was eventually rescued by bystanders who responded to his cries for help.
Arrests Made After Complaint
Ezhumalai filed a complaint with local authorities, leading to the arrest of three individuals. According to the sources, the suspects include 41-year-old S Prabhu Inbadass, 29-year-old K Keerthana from Mudichur, and 38-year-old Shanmuga Priya from Maraimalai Nagar. Shanmuga Priya’s husband is currently on the run.
