Indian forces have successfully captured two Pakistani pilots alive following the shootdown of F-16 fighter jets during combat operations. The incidents took place in separate locations, one near Akhnoor in Jammu and the other near Jaisalmer in Rajasthan.

Indian air defense systems intercepted and downed the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) F-16 Fighting Falcons during routine combat air patrol operations close to the international border. A source with knowledge of the operations confirmed, “Pakistan Air Force F-16 Fighting Falcon downed by Indian air defense interceptor during combat air patrol near the international border.” The successful interception highlights India’s robust defense capabilities amidst heightened border tensions.

The first pilot was captured near Akhnoor in Jammu, while the second was apprehended near Jaisalmer in Rajasthan. Both incidents have raised the stakes in the ongoing conflict, as the two countries remain locked in intense military exchanges. With these captures, India now holds two Pakistani prisoners of war, further intensifying the already volatile situation along the border.

India’s air defense systems have been highly effective in thwarting aerial threats, ensuring the safety of its territories. As tensions continue to rise, both nations remain on high alert, with military personnel closely monitoring developments in the region.
