In a significant update on Operation Sindoor, the Indian Army has asserted that the targeted strikes hit and annihilated terror camps in Pakistan as well as Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (PoK), including some that were being utilized for the training of notorious terrorists like Ajmal Kasab and David Headley.
The air strikes, which were conducted by the Indian Air Force, were part of a strategic attempt at dismantling terror infrastructure and to stop further acts of terrorism directed against India. These camps had been utilized as bases for conducting and planning cross-border terror activities and hence constituted prime targets for India’s counter-terrorism efforts.

A Strategic and Targeted Response
Operation Sindoor was highly planned, and nine targets were hit across PoK and Pakistan. These areas were noted as centers for planning and conducting cross-border terrorist operations. The aim was to utilize camps that had been utilized by well-known terrorists such as Ajmal Kasab and David Headley to train. “Camps where Kasab, Headley trained were destroyed in strikes,” stated Wing Commander Vyomika Singh.
This action was not just a reaction to the Pahalgam attack but also a calculated move to disassemble the infrastructure of terrorism on India’s borders.

Despite the magnitude of the operation, India made it clear that no military installations were hit in Pakistan during the strikes. “No military installation was targeted in Pakistan during Operation Sindoor,” confirmed Colonel Sofiya Qureshi. Wing Commander Vyomika Singh emphasized the importance of India’s readiness, stating, “India is ready to deal with any misadventure by Pakistan,” signaling that any future provocation would be met with swift and proportionate action.
