In response, the Indian Armed Forces carried out proportionate strikes on Pakistani air defence systems, including a radar unit in Lahore.

According to official sources, Pakistan attempted to strike multiple military installations in cities such as Awantipura, Srinagar, Jammu, Pathankot, Amritsar, Kapurthala, Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Adampur, Bhatinda, Chandigarh, Nal, Phalodi, Uttarlai, and Bhuj.

These attacks were launched using drones and missiles, but Indian defence systems effectively countered the offensive. “These were neutralised by the Integrated Counter UAS Grid and Air Defence systems,” officials confirmed. Authorities are now recovering debris from several impacted locations to verify the nature and extent of the attempted strikes.

India Conducts Targeted Retaliation on Pakistani Defence Infrastructure

In response, the Indian Armed Forces launched a targeted operation early Thursday morning. They struck air defence radars and related infrastructure in Pakistan. Sources said the action was “in the same domain with same intensity as Pakistan.” Notably, an air defence system near Lahore has been “neutralised.”

Pakistan Increases Firing Along LoC, India Responds to Stop Escalation

Pakistan has also intensified unprovoked firing across the Line of Control (LoC), using mortars and heavy artillery in several sectors of Jammu and Kashmir. Areas affected include Kupwara, Baramulla, Uri, Poonch, Mendhar, and Rajouri.

The cross-border firing has resulted in tragic civilian casualties. “Sixteen innocent lives have been lost, including three women and five children,” authorities said. The Indian military responded with force to halt the mortar and artillery attacks from the Pakistani side.

India Calls Actions Defensive, Measured, and Necessary

India has emphasised that its military actions are proportionate and targeted. Officials reiterated that the strikes aimed only to neutralise offensive capabilities and bring an end to Pakistani aggression.

The series of events marks a sharp escalation in tensions, but India has maintained that it has no intention to escalate further unless provoked.
