Following attacks on several Indian locations and civilian areas, the Pakistan Army has reportedly begun shifting its forces closer to the border. This movement is being seen as a sign of potential offensive action.
Troop Movement Raises Concerns
On Saturday, Wing Commander Vyomika Singh addressed the media and confirmed that Pakistan’s military is moving troops toward forward positions. This move has raised concerns of further escalation between the two countries.
Singh said, “Pakistan Army has been observed to be moving its troops towards forward areas, indicating an offensive intent to further escalation. Indian armed forces remain in a high state of operational readiness, and all hostile actions have been effectively countered and responded proportionately. Indian armed forces reiterated their commitment to non-escalation, provided the Pakistan side reciprocates.”

India Responds with Measured Strikes
She added that India has responded to threats in a precise and restrained manner, targeting only specific military sites. Singh also addressed false claims being circulated by Pakistan.
“In a swift and calibrated response, Indian armed forces carried out a precision strike only at identified military targets… Pakistan has also attempted to execute a continued malicious misinformation campaign, with claims of destruction of the Indian S-400 system, destruction of airfields at Suratgarh and Sirsa… India unequivocally rejects these false claims being spread by Pakistan,” she stated.

Missile Debris Found in Rajasthan
Local residents in Barmer, Rajasthan discovered fragments of what appeared to be unidentified projectiles. These findings point to the increasing intensity of cross-border threats.
India Hits Back at Pakistani Airbases
As tensions continue to rise, Indian forces reportedly carried out retaliatory strikes on four Pakistani airbases early Saturday. Sources told ANI that these operations followed Pakistan’s attacks on 26 Indian locations. Gunfire continues at several points along the Line of Control (LoC).
Background: India’s Operation Sindoor
India’s recent military actions are seen as part of “Operation Sindoor,” where Indian forces struck nine terrorist facilities in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir earlier this week. That operation was a direct response to the deadly terror attack in Pahalgam on April 22, which killed 26 people.
