During a Wednesday closed-door cabinet meeting, Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised the Indian military for the successful conduct of Operation Sindoor, India’s retaliatory military operation in response to the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack. Speaking to his Cabinet members, the Prime Minister proclaimed the operation “a moment of pride for all of us” and an expression of the country’s determination against terrorism.

Precision and Power Behind Operation Sindoor

Terming the operation as a “perfect strike by the armed forces,” PM Modi told ministers that the retaliatory strikes had penetrated deep into enemy territory, striking four targets in Punjab province of Pakistan and five in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.

“Hum sab ke liye garv ka pal hai (this is a moment of pride for all of us),” PM Modi said in the cabinet briefing. The strikes were targeted against terror camps where cross-border attacks on Indian civilians were planned and launched.

The Prime Minister also reassured his ministers about the detailed planning and pinpoint execution of the strikes. The decision was met with unanimous praise within the cabinet, with leaders applauding Modi’s firm leadership during a time of national anguish and rising border tensions.

National Unity and Global Support

PM Modi will also update President Droupadi Murmu later today at Rashtrapati Bhavan on the developments. The decision underscores the gravity of the government’s intention and the strategic openness being practiced at the highest constitutional levels.

The Pahalgam terror attack, which took 26 innocent lives—including tourists at the Baisaran Valley—aroused national indignation and elicited condemnation from across the world. In a rally in Bihar soon after the attack, Modi had promised the people that India would pursue the attackers “to the ends of the earth” and bring them to justice.

Nation Applauds Firm Leadership

Ex-Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu also participated in the national mood, tweeting on X, “The whole nation is proud of our Armed Forces who carried out Operation Sindoor with precision attacks on terror outfits… The government has demonstrated its strong will to eradicate terrorism.”

Through Operation Sindoor, India has not only exhibited its military might but also shown its unflinching will to act strongly when provoked.
