Night Of Missiles Seen Flying And Blasts In Pakistan’s Punjab : Drone Shot Down | WATCH

A viral video circulating on social media has intensified tensions between India and Pakistan, as it appears to capture multiple missiles streaking across the night sky over Gujranwala in Pakistan’s Punjab province. In one of the clips, an explosion is clearly audible, while another shows the precise moment of impact. These visuals reportedly date back to the early hours between Wednesday night and Thursday morning.

Pakistan Media Alleges Indian Drone Incursion

While Indian authorities have not issued any official statement confirming the cause of the explosions, several Pakistani media outlets have claimed the incident involved an Indian drone. According to local reports, the drone allegedly entered Pakistani airspace early Thursday, prompting a swift response from the Gujranwala Cantonment air defence unit.

The drone was said to be flying at a high altitude when detected. “Two shots were fired, bringing the aircraft down,” reports suggest. Debris believed to be from the downed drone was reportedly recovered from fields near Pir Jhanda village in District Gujrat. However, these claims have not been verified independently or confirmed by Indian officials.

Operation Sindoor: The Context Behind Escalating Tensions

The reported incident comes just days after India launched Operation Sindoor, a massive retaliatory military operation in response to the April 22 terror attack in Pahalgam that killed 26 civilians, including tourists. The joint operation, carried out by the Indian Army, Air Force, and Navy, struck nine terrorist camps across Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (PoK).

In what is being termed as one of India’s most precisely executed cross-border strikes, the mission lasted just 23 minutes. It targeted facilities linked to banned terrorist groups including Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), and Hizbul Mujahideen. Among the key targets were JeM’s Markaz Subhan Allah in Bahawalpur and LeT’s Markaz Taiba in Muridke, alongside training camps in Muzaffarabad and Kotli.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi personally named the mission “Sindoor,” a symbolic reference to the red vermillion worn by Hindu married women. “The name signifies the grief of widowed women after losing their loved ones to terrorism,” a government source stated.

As the situation unfolds, regional stability remains fragile with escalating military posturing on both sides. The alleged drone incident, if confirmed, may mark a dangerous turn in the current standoff.
