In a night-time dramatic increase on Thursday evening, Pakistan launched eight missiles at vital Indian military and civilian targets—Satwari, Samba, RS Pura, and Arnia. Several videos available on social media showed the Jammu night sky lighting up with Indian air defence firing back into action. Defence experts were quick to point out parallels with Hamas rocket attacks against Israel, observing a striking similarity both in the strategy and modus operandi.
“Early opinion reads in great similarity between recent aerial strikes by Pakistan and Hamas attack on Israel,” a top defence official said. “It seems that the Pakistani Army is acting and conducting itself just like the terror group, Hamas.”
India’s Air Defence Neutralises Threats Completely
India’s advanced air defence systems, such as the S-400 and Akash, successfully intercepted all the incoming threats. Put on high alert early, these systems made sure that not a single missile or drone struck its target. “A huge success, as not a single missile or drone hit the intended target. All fragments of the exploded missiles and drones recovered and sites plugged,” sources confirmed.
The Headquarters Integrated Defence Staff (HQ-IDS) supported the report on X (formerly Twitter), saying, “Military posts of Jammu, Pathankot and Udhampur were hit by Pakistani missiles and drones. There have been no losses.”
Blackouts in Kutch Spark Civilian Alarm
Meanwhile, total blackouts occurred in Abdasa, Nakhtrana, Bhuj, Mandvi, and Bhachau in Gujarat’s Kutch district. Though no official connection has been made yet, the concurrent timing with the attacks on Jammu has raised national security issues.
With tensions mounting, India’s military response has been tight and measured. But contrasts with Hamas’ approach highlight a grim change in Pakistan’s tactics—one that could inform India’s future actions.
