A deadly shooting near the famous Bellagio Fountains in Las Vegas left a minimum one person dead late Sunday night, authorities confirmed. The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) was called to the scene on South Las Vegas Boulevard and asked the public to avoid the area.
Social media footage of a video captures a gunman discharging shots in front of the Bellagio Fountains during an altercation with another man. Seven shots ring out in the video as frightened onlookers scream, run away, or hit the ground to seek cover. The gunman yelled, “Are you f****** kidding me? ” and someone can be heard crying as the shots stop.

Las Vegas Police Verify One Death
At least one individual was killed in the shooting, NBC affiliate News3lv said. Although initial reports led to confusion regarding the location, police eventually made it clear that the shooting never occurred in any casino. Rather, the violence occurred along the 3600 block of South Las Vegas Boulevard.

Authorities immediately cordoned off the scene as a large police presence swarmed the famous LA Strip. Video footage caught on a nearby building revealed dozens of flickering blue police cars arriving at the scene. The LVMPD continues to redirect traffic away as they carry out their investigation.

The LA Metropolitan Police Department took to its official account X, formerly Twitter, and stated, “We are currently dealing with a shooting in the 3600 block of S. Las Vegas Boulevard. The shooting did not happen within a casino. Stay away from the area.”The department’s homicide unit is to issue a public statement at 1:45 a.m. local time on Monday (9:45 a.m. BST).
