In a media briefing on #OperationSindoor, the Government of India presented key details about recent terrorist attacks in the country. Officials outlined the targeted surgical strikes on terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir. The briefing underscored India’s decisive action to neutralize threats and ensure national security.

A Strategic, Coordinated Operation

The three branches of the Indian armed forces worked in tandem, using advanced weapon systems and pinpoint intelligence to target nine terror camps. Of these, five camps were located in PoK, and four were in mainland Pakistan. These camps were directly linked to Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) and Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), two groups responsible for numerous attacks on Indian soil over the years.

India’s Official Stand

Following the operation, the Ministry of Defence issued a statement confirming the success of the mission. “Our actions have been focused, measured and non-escalatory in nature. No Pakistani military facilities have been targeted,” the ministry clarified. The government emphasized that the aim of the strikes was to neutralize terrorist threats without escalating tensions between the two nations.

A Historic Military Move

This strike marks one of India’s most significant cross-border operations since the 1971 war. It demonstrates India’s unwavering resolve to swiftly and strategically respond to terrorism, sending a clear message to terror outfits operating across the border.
