At their college’s cultural program, the students yelled “Pakistan Zindabad,” which angered other students, who asked them to say “Jai Hind” and “Jai Karnataka Mate” in their place and apologize. Other witnesses recorded the incident and shared videos of it, which quickly went viral on internet.

The students, three of them, have been identified as Aryan, Dinakar and Riya Ravichandra, in an article published by the Deccan Herald, a media website,

The three have been the subject of a First Information Report (FIR) filed with the Marathahalli police station under sections 153 and 505 (1) B, which accuse people of willfully inciting a disturbance and causing or likely to cause fear or alarm in the public.

All three of the accused students have been released on station bail. The three studied at an engineering college and the incident happened at a college fest, reports said.
