SRINAGAR: People’s Conference Chairman and spokesperson of People’s Alliance for Gupkar Declaration (PAGD) Sajad Lone on Thursday lashed out at all those leaders who have been dubbing them as anti-nationals and as a gang. He said that once the District Development Council (DDC) elections and by-polls of panchayats are over, all those who have leveled baseless charges against them will have to answer. Lone was addressing his party workers convention at Zachaldara village of Handwara in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district. He said that it was very unfortunate that wild allegations were leveled against them by BJP leaders without even cross checking the facts.
“I am ready to give my life for PAGD which has been formed for protecting the dignity and honor of people of Jammu and Kashmir”, he added and stressed for the unity among the workers at the ground level.
Sajad urged people of Kupwara to come out and vote in bulk on the polling days of DDC elections and said that it would be the best answer to all those allegations and falsehood campaigns launched by BJP and their cohorts in Jammu and Kashmir.
It is pertinent to mention that PAGD has jointly given the tickets of the elections in the DDC polls to the candidates and all these lists have been finalized by the president of the PAGD Farooq Abdullah.
DDC elections and by-polls of panchayats and ULB’s are being held in eight phases in entire Jammu and Kashmir amid tight security especially in Kashmir valley. The polls that started from November 28 has completed its two phases, third phase is scheduled to be held on Dec 04, 2020.
