Delhi has released the figures for the third Sero survey. These statistics show that the maximum number of antibodies in Delhi is found among the youth, which means that most children under the age of 18 have been impacted by coronavirus.

In the third survey conducted in September, 25.1% people got antibodies. In a survey conducted in August, 18.7% antibodies were found in people. In all, 17,000 samples were taken in this third Sero survey in Delhi; this survey took place between 1-5 September. The survey found 23.9% antibodies in men, and 26.1% in women. This survey also revealed that more antibodies were found in people under 18 years of age and more than 50 years in Delhi, which means that people of this age were more vulnerable to coronavirus. According to the survey report, 26.7% under 18 years of age, 24.2% of 18- 49 years old and 26.3% antibodies were found in people above 50.

“In the third phase of Sero survey report, antibodies have been found in 25.1% of the people. The first survey was done in association with ICMR, which sampled from all 11 districts of Delhi. The second survey was also done in the same way, but this time, we divided Delhi in 280 parts and assembled samples at the ward level. That is why there has been a difference in the survey report. The geographical aspect is more accurately revealed in this survey. Scientists will be able to tell the meaning of herd immunity. If you look at the current 25%, then Delhi is far away from herd immunity. Antibodies are necessary for herd immunity in 40-60% of the population,” Health Minister Satyendar Jain said.

This time, samples from Delhi’s 11 districts were taken in the following way: 24.1% from North Delhi, 18.6% from New Delhi, 31.8% from Northwest Delhi, 14.6% from South West Delhi, 27.9% from West Delhi, 27% from South East Delhi, 30.1% from South Delhi, 28.7% from Shahdara, 31.1% from East Delhi and 12.2% from North East Delhi; also an tibodies have been found in 21.7% people in Central Delhi. The next Sero survey in Delhi will also be done at the ward level. The next survey will be done in 10-15 days. At the same time in Delhi, 3,037 people tested corona positive in the last 24 hours and 40 patients have died. So far, 2,82,752 cases of corona have been reported in Delhi and a total of 5401 people have died and 2,50,613 people have been cured. In view of all these circumstances, the Delhi government has issued a formal order and has decided that now, two weekly markets will be opened in every zone of every municipal corporation in Delhi.

Till now, only one weekly market was allowed to open per zone per day. Bars were also allowed to open on a trial basis by 31 October. All types of social, academic, sports, cultural, religious, political and other types of major gatherings will continue to be banned in Delhi.

A maximum of 50 people for wedding ceremony and maximum 20 for a funeral with social distancing have been allowed to gather.
