There is need for a new, decolonized world order

The economic leadership of the USA comes from immigrants as well as a ‘rabid’ open-minded professionals who create highly innovative products and services. The institutionalized financial systems sustain these innovations. This forms the basis of the economic leadership of the USA in the world.

Debunking all forms of either faith or race-based discrimination must be the new political priority in the USA. Hinduphobia, Islamophobia, Kafirphobia, Supremacism, Racism, and Economic Discrimination are the new terms that are bound to destroy the financial leadership of the USA. Any religion-based supremacist movements are bound to bring the US down economically in the world. These popular neo-political terms highlight the weakness of American academics to contribute to American integration. They also reflect the worrisome lines on the forehead of an American taxpayer who is struggling to make ends meet while reeling under the pressures of relentless inflation and an unforgiving taxman. What has happened to the USA, the choicest destination for an intelligent & skilled immigrant? This answer must be apolitical and logical.

The political game of throwing the muck on the other side is avoiding an intelligent debate on this topic. Human beings can be liberal as well as conservative many times in a day. We must ask ourselves a question: are we a liberal or a conservative while choosing flavor of the ice cream? Any answer to that question will make us think. The enemies of American economic success are already enjoying the bitter rivalry of mainstream American parties. The two-party system of democracy in the USA is proving itself to be a black or white affair. The middle path in American politics is lacking because of the extreme positions which both parties have taken. The ‘liberals’, which in the American context would mean anti-colonial church and socialistic ‘grouping’ which is an extreme left position. The American Islamists, American Natives, Jews and Hindus have been the major support of this grouping to seek political representation in American politics. The ‘conservatives’ stand for ‘evangelical’ church-based politics with focus on controlled spending & economic capitalism. Most of the refugees and asylum seekers to the USA have come from war-torn regions of the world, often American-led or induced wars.

The majority of immigrants who are yet to adjust to the American way of life naturally find the ‘left’ a far more comfortable choice with their socialistic agendas. The economic leadership of the USA comes from immigrants as well as a ‘rabid’ open-minded professionals who create highly innovative products and services. The institutionalized financial systems sustain these innovations. This forms the basis of economic leadership of the USA in the world.

Tesla, SpaceX, and Amazon are the innovations of the open-minded liberal Americans which the conservatives detest. Successive administrations on either side of the aisle have supported these large corporations that have created economic leadership of Americans in the world. Now, these corporations have also attracted increased political scrutiny which forces them to often take sides to the chagrin of both political sides. Is that good for those businesses? That is something to think about. No business can be loyal to any type of political ideology because their focus is on compliance, risk management, and profitability. Expecting them to follow an ideology puts pressure on profitability and innovation. More businesses are bound to collapse if such ideologue pressures continue. Businesses need stable governance and clear policy frameworks to succeed. Political expectations deter business leaders from clear decision-making.

The political donations from most of these businesses will go to that political ideology that allows them to create innovation and profitability in the first place. Most politicians have to learn to live with their choices. Businesses often need quality skills, easy finance, and favorable regulations to succeed. Between 2014 and 2021, the USA added 194 Unicorns with the majority of them attaining their unicorn status between 2016-21. In contrast, India has added 59 Unicorns in the period 2014-21 which is bound to increase to 150 by 2025. In the US, Indian Americans account for 14% of all Unicorn startups. With the protectionist US policies, most other Unicorns have been launched in India owing to its more favorable regulatory frameworks and easy financing options. China lacks transparency, while other regions of the world lack a large consumer population as compared to India.

The same thing can be said of the defense industry in the USA. The conservative and liberal debate is tearing the innovation in the defense space. The US defense industry has maintained its innovation leadership in the world because of its deep research. Most of the defense innovations came from various wars after World War II. Now that is not a popular choice with most Americans today. At the same time, it is a well-known fact that the international value of the Dollar is closely connected to its military leadership. After endless wars, the American economy is no longer able to support continuous deployments. That weakness is palpable in international diplomatic circles post the Afghanistan exit. Strategic ‘Friendversaries’ such as China and UK have taken cognizance of these chinks in American power and have taken steps to fill the vacuum left by the United States. CANZUK (Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and the UK), a popular movement in those countries has emerged as a potential filler should the USA falter.

CANZUK if materialized politically in those countries will create the largest economic bloc that will compete with the US and EU in the multipolar world. CANZUK is the region of ex-colonies of the UK. With CANZUK coming into existence, Spanish and other European colonial powers will also create an alliance of their ex-colonies to compete with the USA. Large Asian economic powers such as India, Japan, and China would also be forced to create their alliances to support themselves from this reemergence of colonial groupings. The economic interests of aborigines of Australia, natives of Canada, and New Zealand have largely been ignored by the British colonialists in those lands. The decline of American power projection in the world may force a new world order which may not be in the best interest of the USA in the next 30-year time frame.

The UN will remain the global body for the third world nations that are fighting for justice for their regional conflicts. The UN has remained a source of headache and expenses for most first-world nations. Can the world expect more from the US, UK, and other European nations who colonized the world? Will the US survive the internal turmoil that it is facing? The new decolonized world order is badly needed to ensure peace, especially for third-world countries. The sooner they realize it, the better it is for them. The world can no longer live at the mercy of the ex-colonial powers and their politics. The world is looking up to India for leadership. Can India take this initiative?
