Winner of Bigg Boss 17, Munawar Faruqui, is scheduled to launch his acting career with the online series ‘First Copy’.
He revealed the teaser for the series on social media on Thursday.
The one-minute, forty-three-second teaser took viewers back to 1999, a time when DVDs were quite popular.

In a statement, Munawar discussed the program and said, “Over the years, my fans have always stood by me and supported me in everything I have done. Hence, I wanted to present them with a special gift this year by announcing this project where they’ll witness a new side of me. I’m eager to see everyone’s response to it.”
The “First Copy,” which was written and directed by Farhan P. Zamma and co-produced by Kurji Productions and Salt Media, will be available soon.
Munawar stole the show earlier this year when he competed on “Bigg Boss 17.”
In the final, Munawar emerged victorious over actor Abhishek Kumar.
Munawar expressed his confidence in his victory in an interview with ANI.
“My heart was beating a lot but somewhere it was saying that I would be the winner. My fans always supported me and whenever I was left behind, they pulled me by holding my hand, so I am very grateful.”
Shortly after winning, the stand-up comedian posted a picture of himself and host Salman Khan on social media with the remark, “Bohot Bohot shukriya janta aapke pyaar aur support ke liye aakhir kar trophy Dongri aa hi gayi (Thank you my fans for all the love and support. Finally the trophy is here). Special thanks to Bade Bhai @beingsalmankhan sir for all your guidance. Saari ‘Munawar ki janta aur Munawar ke warrior’ ka dil se shukriya (thanks to all of my fans from the bottom of my heart).
Munawar was one of the most well-liked in the Big Boss Season 17.
But his plan quickly backfired, and he encountered several difficulties, chief among them being Ayesha Khan’s entry into the program and her grave accusations against him. He was accused by Ayesha of lying to her, cheating on her, and making a marriage proposal to a different female. Though his performance plummeted, he was still able to stand tall.
