The Paralympic Games are set to kick off in Paris, with approximately 4,400 athletes preparing to compete for 549 medals across 22 sports over the next 11 days. The historic Place de la Concorde, which hosted Olympic skateboarding and 3×3 basketball, will now welcome the Paralympic opening ceremony. Equestrian events return to the elegant Château de Versailles, while the Grand Palais transitions from fencing to wheelchair fencing. Para archery will be held at Invalides, and blind soccer, a modified version of football for visually impaired players, will take place at the venue near the Eiffel Tower.
