THE LAYERS OF MY SOUL: A SOLO PAINTING EXHIBITION BY PROMISING ARTIST EKTA JAIN

Exhibition, which captures urban life, chaos, ups and downs of daily life with message of love and hope still alive in peoples’ hearts, will be held from 12-16 May

Gallery Sree Arts, a Delhi-NCR, based art gallery was established by Jitendra Padam Jain in 2006 with an idea to create a space that sets an example in promoting artists; imminent and masters; taking them to a stage both national and global by organising exhibitions, art camps as well as artist-in-residencies. Gallery Sree Arts has flourished under the table leadership of Jitendra Padam Jain as he could gather rich experiences from his national and international exhibitions.

Gallery Sree Arts are going to host ‘The Layers of my Soul’ Art Exhibition by Ekta Jain which has some extraordinary vision to dwell on. This exhibition is curated by Jitendra Padam Jain. The exhibition will be held from 12th May to 16th May at India Habitat Centre (Visual Arts Gallery), Lodhi Road, New Delhi. Ekta Jain’s journey of art reflects instinct and impression of early life. She began as an untutored teen by drawing lines and making portraits to express her empathy and positive energy.

The paintings will draw attention to the imagination which is reduced or extended to lines and measurements, circles and enlightenment of mind, vertical columns, and angular forms/relational idea of a flower or a straight line dealing with congestion of urban cemented structure. The real riot is the merging and juxtaposition of colors and lines crisscrossing creating harmony.

In a candid conversation artist Ekta Jain says, “In my series named Converse, the colors black and white symbolize the alternatives of hope and despair to which humankind is forever subjected. The conversation between the two brings out the nostalgia to the mind; it represents the communication of inner feelings, thoughts, and vision which are subject to change from moment to moment.”
