Furthermore, both days are expected to witness chilly and extremely cold temperatures. The weather department forecasted the activation of a Western Disturbance from January 8th, hinting at mild rainfall around January 9th. However, following the rainfall, the weather is anticipated to revert to dry conditions.
The maximum temperature recorded in Ambala on Thursday was 10.8 degrees Celsius, 6.7 degrees below normal, while the minimum temperature was recorded at 6.4 degrees Celsius. Hisar observed a maximum temperature of 12 degrees Celsius, marking a deviation of 6.8 degrees below normal, with the minimum temperature at 4 degrees Celsius. Karnal recorded a maximum temperature of 10.2 degrees Celsius and a minimum temperature of 6.5 degrees Celsius.
The Indian Meteorological Department issued an orange alert for severe cold days and dense fog in Haryana today and tomorrow. Despite the possibility of temporary relief due to the cold weather conditions, an upsurge in cold intensity is expected thereafter, with chances of dense fog from January 8th to 10th.
