Madhu Sharma, Hyderabad: YSR Telengana Party chief YS Sharmila on Wednesday visited youth leader Thota Pavan at a private hospital in Hyderabad where he is under treatment after an alleged assault by the BRS goons in Warangal district on Monday.

She inquired with the doctors about his health condition and extended moral support to the family members. She termed this a dastardly act and dubbed BRS leaders as worse than beasts.

Speaking to the media outside the hospital Sharmila said, “With no humanity in their hearts and actions, BRS goons are holding a sway on the State, worse than wild animals. There is literally no law and order in the State and it is shameful that there is no action against the rogues who had perpetrated to this heinous act. KCR won’t be spared by fate and he and his hooligans are sure to be paid back by destiny. The sorrow and pain of Pavan’s parents won’t go in vain.”

She recalled the series of violent attacks on her during her padayatra and said, “From Dharmapuri to Narsampet to Mahbubabad to Huzurnagar, I faced the fury of these goondas, only to ask myself if the law and order was still prevailing in the state. Due to the most dreadful and mafia reign of BRS, broad daylight murders, rapes, and robberies are a daily feature in Telangana. We demand the police department that they stand by the side of the people and not behave like the private army of the BRS. As such we have our doubts if the cops have joined BRS by now.”

“I demand that the President Rule to be imposed in Telangana and we will meet the Honourable Governor to request the same,” she added.
Sharmila also appealed to the transgenders, stating she and her party accord the utmost respect to the community and it was only in a momentary exchange of words that she had uttered the word, but never had the intention of demeaning them.

We respect you and recognize the fact that you have a special place in our society. I offer my apologies to you if someone feels I have hurt them. I would want to add that KCR had not done anything useful for you. Once voted to power, YSRTP will work towards your upliftment and ensure you a respectable stature in the society, and also extend welfare schemes and loans.”
