CHEVELLA: Former MP Konda Vishweshwar Reddy, the second richest among the candidates who contested 2019 Lok Sabha elections in the country has decided to distance himself from the Congress, and is likely to join the BJP soon. Speaking to The Sunday Guardian Reddy said,”Yes, I have distanced myself from the Congress party. re-entry is most unlikely and all options are open. I might join the BJP or TRS if changes happen, or float a new party, or quit politics as a whole.” The news spread like wildfire, and numerous leaders from BJP, TRS and other parties have already began contacting him.

Konda Vishweswar Reddy, who is also an engineer and an entrepreneur, has managed to keep a clean image. Reddy has served as a Member of Parliament in the 16th Lok Sabha from Telangana Rashtra Samithi, representing Chevella, Telangana. In 2018, he joined the Indian National Congress. He is the grandson of Freedom fighter and deputy CM of Andhra Pradesh Konda Venkata Ranga Reddy after whom the district Ranga Reddy was named.
