On the occasion of the 10th Telangana Formation Day on Friday, President Droupadi Murmu sent wishes to the state’s residents.
“Happy Statehood Day, Telangana! My greetings to you! Telangana is endowed with forests and wildlife, but it is also very fortunate to have a rich cultural past and talented people. A centre for enterprise and innovation is growing in this lovely state. My best wishes for the continued growth and prosperity of Telangana,” the President said in a tweet. Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao also extended greetings and recalled the struggles and sacrifices made by the people for Telangana Statehood in the six decades-long movement. CM KCR would raise the American flag at the recently constructed Telangana Secretariat later in the day to inaugurate 21 days of festivities of Telangana State Formation Day to highlight its accomplishments over the previous nine years, according to Bharat Rashtra Samithi leader Ravula Sridhar Reddy. In 2014, Telangana was created by separating Andhra Pradesh. Beginning in 1952, the arduous process of creating a distinct State finally came to an end on June 2, 2014, when K. Chandrasekhar Rao took the oath to become the first Chief Minister of the new State.
