BJP MP says time is up for Asaduddin Owaisi and the family rule of KCR in Telangana.
Osmania University, in a highly sensitive area, has been the breeding ground for the Telangana statehood movement. After becoming the Chief Minister, K. Chandrasekhar Rao has o never entered the university. One movement or the other has been brewing in it. BJP MP and BJYM president Tejasvi Surya entered the university with a number of activists, and alleged that the Hyderabad police had blocked his entry into the university campus. He broke through the police barricades at the entrance of the university’s NCC gate.
Tejasvi Surya was to meet participants of the Telangana movement at 11:30 am at the Osmania University. But the police set up big barricades and wrote at the entrance “Entry only for staff and students”. The BJYM workers then raised slogans and soon removed the barricades. The cops could stop the car of Tejasvi Surya, but could not stop him from marching towards Osmania University’s iconic Arts college.
After entering the university, Surya tweeted, “Try how much ever you want, KCR Garu, but you can’t stop BJYM from paying respects to Telangana martyrs. You are in power today because of the sacrifice of thousands of common students of Telangana. Please don’t forget their sacrifices!” He also said, “BJYM is the power of youth of India! No fences, no barricades, no police force can stop us from doing the right thing. The more you try to stop us, the more powerful our fight back! Jai Telangana!”
Tejasvi Surya told The Daily Guardian, “The family rule of Owaisi and the CM KCR is going to be over. The downfall will start from the Greater Hyderabad Municipal polls only. KCR promised ‘Golden Telangana’, it was only his party and his family that ‘got gold’, while the youth of the state did not get anything.” He asked in the Osmania University campus whether any students got jobs under KCR’s regime except MLA, MP, MLC and minister posts to his family. Earlier, he said that Asaduddin Owaisi is the new avatar of Mohammad Ali Jinnah and alleged that the Owaisi brothers did not allow development in the old city of Hyderabad. Voting Owaisi is nothing, but voting against India, he said.
