Vivo has officially confirmed the India launch of the Vivo V80 5G for October 6, 2026. The upcoming V-series smartphone will focus heavily on photography and video while also bringing a larger battery, faster OLED display and Vivo’s latest OriginOS 7 software. The Vivo V80 5G will launch in India on October 6, 2026, at 12 PM. The smartphone is expected to be sold through Vivo’s India website, Amazon, Flipkart and offline retail channels.
Vivo has not yet officially announced the India price. Therefore, current expected-price listings should not be treated as the final launch price. An exact price is expected to be revealed at the launch event.

Vivo V80 5G Display Specifications
The Vivo V80 5G will feature a 6.59-inch 1.5K OLED display with a refresh rate of up to 144Hz. Vivo also lists up to 5,000 nits local peak brightness, support for 1.07 billion colours and an ultra-low 1-nit brightness mode for darker environments.
The 144Hz mode is not necessarily active in every application. Vivo states that the maximum refresh rate is supported only by selected applications and that actual performance can vary according to the app and usage conditions.
The display also has slim 1.25mm bezels, giving the phone a high screen-to-body appearance.
Vivo V80 5G Camera Features
Camera performance is one of the major highlights of the Vivo V80 5G. The phone has a ZEISS-backed camera system with a 50MP Sony LYTIA 700V primary camera featuring optical image stabilisation.
The phone also includes a 50MP ZEISS night telephoto camera using a Sony IMX882 sensor. It supports OIS and 3x optical zoom, while Vivo advertises zoom capability of up to 100x. A ZEISS ultra-wide camera completes the rear camera setup.
For selfies and group photographs, the phone gets 50MP ZEISS Group Selfie camera with 92-degree wide-angle lens and autofocus. Vivo notes that effective captured field of view after distortion correction is 90 degrees.
Video recording is another major focus. The Vivo V80 supports 4K video at 60fps and 4K Cinematic Video features. ZEISS portrait modes include 85mm and 100mm framing options.
The company is also promoting AI-powered camera tools, including Live Sticker Collage and AI Diwali Portrait 2.0. Vivo says the phone will offer more than 30 AI-powered creative features.
Vivo V80 5G Battery And Charging
The Vivo V80 5G packs a 7,200mAh battery, which Vivo describes as the largest battery capacity in its V-series smartphones. The phone supports 90W FlashCharge fast charging.
According to Vivo’s laboratory testing, the phone can provide up to 14 hours of navigation and up to 39.5 hours of local video playback under specified test conditions. Vivo also claims that the battery can reach 50% in 30 minutes when using its fast-charging mode. Actual battery life and charging performance can vary depending on usage and other conditions.
