Battery life is expected to be one of the biggest selling points of the Redmi 17 5G in India. Xiaomi has confirmed a 7,900mAh battery for the Indian model, which is larger than the 7,500mAh battery offered on the global version.
The phone supports 45W wired charging and up to 22.5W wired reverse charging. Xiaomi’s global specifications also confirm USB Type-C connectivity.
Redmi 17 5G Display
The Redmi 17 5G features a large 6.9-inch display with a resolution of 1600 x 720 pixels and a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. Xiaomi also lists a touch sampling rate of up to 240Hz and several TUV Rheinland eye-care certifications.
The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i. Xiaomi also says the phone supports AdaptiveSync, allowing the refresh rate to adjust according to usage.

For photography, the Redmi 17 5G has a 50MP main rear camera as part of an AI dual-camera system. Xiaomi lists features such as HDR, Night Mode, Portrait Mode, time-lapse and dual-camera recording.
The front camera is an 8MP sensor. Both the front and rear cameras can record video at up to 1080p resolution at 30fps.
