In Nandwai, located in the Begun subdivision, the students and villagers of Mahatma Gandhi Government School are highly agitated over a disciplinary action taken by the Vice Principal of the school against a student who chanted slogans of “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” (Victory to Mother India) and “Vande Mataram” during a prayer meeting.
Concerned about this incident, the students and villagers reached the local authorities and submitted a memorandum addressed to the Chief Minister. The memorandum charges the accused teacher with disrespecting Hindu deities, hurting religious sentiments, and engaging in inappropriate behaviour with students for an extended period. The memorandum demands immediate action against the accused teacher.
During this process, the aggrieved student also shared his side of the story with the local authorities.
