Tamannaah Bhatia has fully embraced the hues of Krishna’s love in a captivating Janmashtami-themed photoshoot for the clothing brand Torani. Featured in their latest campaign, titled ‘Leela: The Divine Illusion of Love,’ Tamannaah beautifully transforms into Radha, draped in ethereal traditional outfits from the brand’s newest collection.

In this photoshoot, Tamannaah initially portrays Radha’s devotion (Bhakti), reflecting the different stages of love for Lord Krishna. The latest images from the campaign, however, shift focus to depict ‘Deewanagi or madness’ in love. As the brand explains through a caption accompanying the dreamy images, “Her reflection is Krishna, her shadow is Krishna, her name is Krishna, she looks at her arms and they seem blue to her. If Krishna is the moon, Radha is its light.”

For the photoshoot, Torani dressed Tamannaah in a striking orange and red embroidered lehenga choli set. The blouse, adorned with intricate zardosi embroidery, features a deep V neckline, scalloped borders, sequin embellishments, half-length sleeves, and slits on the front and sides. Complementing the blouse, the bright red lehenga comes with an A-line ghera, detailed gold embroidery on the hem, and scalloped borders. An orange organza dupatta, draped elegantly over Tamannaah’s head, is embellished with shimmering gold cluster diamantes and zardosi-embroidered borders.

To symbolize Radha’s deep immersion in Kanha’s love, Torani painted Tamannaah’s body in a blue hue. The look was completed with gold and emerald polki jewelry, including a choker necklace, jhumkis, kadhas, and a mang tika. Her hair, styled in a bun and adorned with a gajra, along with darkened brows, kohl-lined eyes, a red bindi, pink lips, and mascara-coated lashes, rounded off her makeup.

Karan Torani, in a clip, explained why Tamannaah Bhatia was chosen to embody Radha. He shared, “Right after the first phone call, Tamannaah told me ‘I surrender myself to you.’ For me, that was the most essential in confidently placing her as Radha; I needed someone to have that faith, knowing ~ I would not do injustice to this story, or to them.”
