The Taliban is going to ban TikTok and PubG applications in Afghanistan within the next three months, media reports said, citing an announcement by the Taliban-led telecommunication department.
The Taliban announced the ban in a meeting with the representatives of the security sector and a representative from the Sharia law enforcement administration, who have decided to ban both TikTok and PubG applications in Afghanistan within a 90-day period of time, reported Khaama Press. TikTok and PubG will be banned within a month and within the next 90 days, respectively, as per the decision, reported Khaama Press.
Afghanistan’s telecommunication and internet service providers have shared the information regarding the ban and have been asked to follow the guidelines within the stipulated time.
