Indian Hotels Company (IHCL) has unveiled Taj The Trees, Mumbai, a 151-room eco-sensitive hotel.
Nestled amidst lush greenery overlooking the mangroves and the eastern shoreline, this hotel draws inspiration from the modernity of the city. Puneet Chhatwal, Managing Director & CEO of IHCL, expressed excitement about adding the fifth Taj hotel to Mumbai and underlined the strategic location of Taj The Trees in proximity to commercial hubs and the upcoming Navi Mumbai international airport. The hotel features global and local cuisine at Shamiana, authentic pan-Asian dishes at Nonya, and mangrove-inspired dishes at The Mangrove Bar.
It offers banquet spaces, a gym, an infinity pool with a Sculpture Park view, a beauty salon, and a spa rooted in traditional Indian healing wisdom. Taj The Trees is a sustainable haven, with 100% green power, extensive natural lighting, green-certified room amenities, and zero single-use plastics, earning it an IGBC Platinum certification. This addition brings IHCL’s Mumbai portfolio to 12 hotels, with two more in development.
