As expected, the BCCI has opted for experienced players for India’s squad selection. Meet the 15 selected players and what they bring to the table.

Captain Rohit Sharma 

Ever since the 2023 ODI World Cup, Rohit Sharma seems to be playing in an aggressive and free flowing manner. He has scored 237 runs in the last 10 T20s at an average of 38.87 and a strike rate of 160.30.

Hardik Pandya (Vice Captain)

Despite his form being a concern with both bat and ball in IPL, Hardik is still considered as one of the best all-rounders that India has ever produced. In the last 10 T20s, he has made 159 runs at an average of 22.71 with a strike rate of 111.9 as a batter.  While as a bowler, he has taken 11 wickets with an average of 22.09 at an economy rate of 7.59.

Shivam Dube 

With spin expected to play a crucial in the upcoming T20 format as it’s also being in Caribbean, dube at best will be utilized in middle-overs. In last 10 T20s, He has scored 188 runs at an average of 62.67 and a strike rate of 146.88.

Ravindra Jadeja

Kuldeep Yadav

Jasprit Bumrah
