Eastern New York City, particularly Nassau County, has undergone a transformation in the sports scene with the debut of the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium, an online cricketing platform. This impressive venue was officially launched on Wednesday with the presence of Usain Bolt, the Olympic icon and ambassador of the tournament.

The arena, constructed with the sole purpose of accommodating the 2024 T20 Men’s World Cup, is gearing up to stage one of the event’s highly awaited games: India vs. Pakistan clash scheduled for June 9.

The newly constructed cricket stadium in New York will host eight matches during the group stage. The series will commence with South Africa facing Sri Lanka on June 3. In this cricket powerhouse stadium in NYC, India will compete against Ireland, Pakistan, and the United States. The US will be hosting Cricket World Cup matches for the first time.

Fans who are excited to attend the T20 World Cup matches live can buy tickets through the ICC’s official website. They need to go to the website’s top menu and select the “Ticketing” section. Clicking on “Buy Tickets” from there will lead them to the ticket booking page, where they can reserve their seats for the thrilling matches.

The entry-level package is quite affordable, priced at $175. However, the standard plus and premium packages are priced at $300 and $400, respectively.

The sports authorities considered the US as a prime market to focus on, with the ICC noting that there are over 50 million cricket enthusiasts in a country witnessing a growing South Asian community.
