The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is currently maintaining suspense by not divulging the identities of the forthcoming Chief Ministers for Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh. However, it has been disclosed that central ministers will be designated as observers for all three states. These appointed observers are slated to visit Jaipur, Bhopal, and Raipur to actively engage in legislative meetings and subsequently unveil the names of the new Chief Ministers. It is anticipated that the official announcements regarding the Chief Ministers’ appointments for all three states may materialize by Sunday. Following this, distinct swearing-in ceremonies are likely to be organized for each state.
According to sources, the party has already chosen the names of the Chief Ministers for all three states; only the announcement is pending. It is clear from the party’s side that the political path ahead for former CM Vasundhara Raje may be challenging because there are reports that Raje’s son Dushyant Singh has influenced the legislators. These reports coming from Jaipur are being considered against Raje.
Nevertheless, the former Chief Minister, Vasundhara Raje, made a late-night arrival in Delhi. During the evening, Raje, with her son, Dushyant Singh, held a meeting at the residence of the party’s national president, JP Nadda. Following the meeting, no official statements were released by either party. However, there is speculation that Raje may have addressed news concerning her son and engaged in discussions regarding the Chief Ministerial role. Supporters of Raje remain optimistic, expressing hope that the party will provide her with an opportunity. However, it is worth mentioning that before the meeting with Nadda, she tweeted in praise of Prime Minister Modi, saying that there is a guarantee of Modi’s victory in all three states.
According to party sources, new faces have been selected for all three states. Here in Delhi, Union Rail Minister Ashwini Vaishnav is leading the race. After him, Arjun Meghwal and Gajendra Singh Shekhawat are prominently discussed.
Discussions surrounding Satish Poonia occasionally surface in connection with Uttarakhand. Despite Pushkar Singh Dhami losing the election in Uttarakhand, he was reappointed as the Chief Minister by the Prime Minister, and a new election was conducted. Poonia, having also faced electoral defeat, emphasizes the unpredictability of political developments and the uncertainty of future events.
Speculations are arising that if Vasundhara Raje doesn’t secure the position of Chief Minister in Rajasthan, Jyotiraditya Scindia might be considered for the role in Madhya Pradesh. In Madhya Pradesh, discussions involve leaders like Narendra Singh Tomar, Prahlad Patel, and Shivraj Singh Chouhan. Kailash Vijayvargiya, a senior party leader, has indicated the possibility of the oath-taking ceremony by Sunday. Meanwhile, in Chhattisgarh, Renuka Singh is reportedly a front-runner, potentially impacting Raje’s prospects. The political landscape remains dynamic with multiple contenders and evolving scenarios.
