The Resident Doctors Association of the Hindu Rao Hospital and healthcare workers have declared to withdraw their services from the Covid-19 ward in 48 hours. The doctors and healthcare workers have been on strike for five days and are demanding the payment of their salaries which has been delayed by three and a half months. “Unfortunate that even after the directions of the country’s judiciary and protest by resident doctors and other hospital staff for weeks, no positive response or solution was received from any of the concerned authorities,” said the Resident Doctors Association.
In the letter written by the Resident Doctors Association to the Medical Superintendent, they declared, “We would like to regrettably disengage from the COVID facility from 10 October, illustrating our debilitated strength to administer our expertise. We are failing miserably to even run our basic errands and accomplish at thriving with our daily routine hence we are retracting to further provide our services in the COVID department.”
