Station In-Charge Dhanraj Meena and Constable Bharat Kumar have been suspended following their involvement in a bribery case. The two officials were allegedly caught demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 3 lakh in connection with a land dispute at the Kaithun police station.

An Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) team conducted searches at Meena’s official quarters, car, and personal residence, recovering Rs 1,90,500 from the car and 21 bottles of English liquor from the police quarters. A case has also been registered against Meena under the Excise Act.

After the action taken by the ACP, Rural Superintendent of Police Karan Sharma took this matter seriously and suspended the station in-charge Dhanraj Meena and Constable Bharat and made their headquarters Rural Police Line. Sandeep Sharma posted in his office has been made the new station in-charge of Kaithun, orders for this have also been issued. On the other hand, Constable Bharat Kumar, who was caught taking a bribe of Rs 300000, was presented in the court by the ACB team from where he has been handed over on remand till August 21. Now the ACB team will interrogate him further. Investigation is also being done on the previous complaint Rural Superintendent of Police Karan Sharma said that station in-charge Dhanraj Meena and Constable Bharat have been suspended. A new station in-charge has been posted. He informed that earlier also a complaint was filed against the police station in-charge by the Municipal Council President Aina Mehak for which an investigation is also underway against Dhanraj Meena.

According to Additional Superintendent of Police Vijay Swarnkar, the bribery case emerged after a complaint from Deepak Soni, who was facing obstacles in occupying land he had purchased. The police officials had demanded Rs 3 lakh to resolve the issue. The bribe was given to Constable Bharat, who was arrested by the ACB team. Upon realizing the ACB’s presence, Meena fled the scene and remains at large.

Rural Superintendent of Police Karan Sharma has appointed Sandeep Sharma as the new in-charge of Kaithun police station and placed Meena and Bharat on suspension. Constable Bharat has been remanded in custody until August 21 for further interrogation. Additionally, an ongoing investigation is looking into previous complaints against Meena, including one from the Municipal Council President, Aina Mehak.
