Edappdi K Palaniswami (EPS) stated on Tuesday that Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin deserved a Nobel Prize for lying. Recently, Stalin had called EPS ‘Poi (Lies) Palaniswami’ while talking about welfare schemes and this seemed to have angered the AIADMK general secretary.

EPS condemned Stalin’s statement and said about Stalin’s speech at Tiruvanamalai recently, “Most of his speech was spent talking about me instead of talking about how to get votes. He has a fear of failure” He further asked how Stalin could deny that the welfare schemes and projects being claimed as the DMK’s success were all initiated during the AIADMK regime.

The AIADMK leader said that it was Stalin who was lying and added, “If the DMK had scrapped all of the AIADMK’s welfare schemes and introduced new ones would things be OK? Stalin said all the poll promises had been fulfilled which is not true and that’s why I have been raising all the unfulfilled promises of the DMK.”

“The 29 months that the DMK has been in power, Stalin has earned a bad name from all sections of people like the farmers, traders, industrialists, teachers, government employees, elderly, women and the public. Stalin is not qualified to talk about corruption. He conveniently forgot about the then Finance Minister talking about the corruption in Stalin’s family which came out on social media,” stated EPS.

The AIADMK leader stated that Stalin should stop his propaganda of lies and look at the situation in Tamil Nadu and address the needs of the people in the state.
