Before their match against Mumbai Indians (MI) in the 2024 Indian Premier League (IPL), Rajasthan Royals (RR) player Yuzvendra Chahal was observed achieving a half-century during a turf cricket game on Sunday.
On Monday, MI will face off against RR. The five-time champions currently occupy the sixth position in the points table, having secured three victories and suffered four losses. They emerged victorious in their recent match against Punjab Kings. Meanwhile, RR holds the top spot in the points table with six wins and one loss, accumulating 12 points. They clinched victory in their previous encounter against the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR).
The Royals posted a video on their official X (formerly Twitter) handle with a caption: “Saw Jos bhai’s 107* in Kolkata. Also Yuzi bhai’s 50* in Jaipur. Life is good.” In the video, the Rajasthan players were seen playing a turf cricket match.
The team led by Hardik Pandya currently holds the top spot in the IPL 2024 points table with 12 points, having won six out of their seven matches in the ongoing season. The table-toppers boast a net run rate of +0.677 in the 17th edition of the IPL.
